Our Together Type 1: Type 1 Chat online series for young people aged 11-15 living with type 1 diabetes is back on Tuesday 30 April from 6-7pm ⁠

Hosted by Young Leaders, our Type 1 Chats offer a chance for young people to come together and talk to and meet others that can relate. to life with type 1 diabetes. This time we'll discuss various important things to know when taking tests or sitting exams when you live with type 1. ⁠

⁠Our Young Leaders are here to answer questions and share their experiences with exams and diabetes. ⁠

Type 1 Chat

If you're aged 16-25 you can join the Together Type 1 Team online on Wednesday 1 May from 6-7pm as we come together to chat about peer support and type 1 diabetes.
⁠
We've seen how having a community of people who can relate has tackled feelings of isolation and loneliness in young people living with type 1, as part of Together Type 1, we're connecting young people and creating a safe space for them to come together.⁠

Peer support can take place through lots of different approaches across different environments. There is no 'one size fits all' category when it comes to Peer Support. We know different things will work for different people and we want to hear from you! ⁠

We'll be joined by Diabetes UK's Iain French, Iain is the Peer Support Manager that works on the Together Type 1 Programme

Together Type 1 Laser Tag, Northampton

Together Type 1 are coming to Northampton for our 2nd Laser Tag event of the year, followed by a Type 1 Chat session hosted by our Together Type 1 Team

Join us for our Birmingham Wellness Walk 2024 on Sunday 7 July 2024

Walk for a happier, healthier future.

Striding out from City Centre Gardens, your wellness walk will go through the varied and interesting neighbourhoods of Birmingham, passing famous sights such as the Bullring, along the Birmingham canals and through Chamberlain Square, ending this year at Aston University.

We invite you to come along to our Birmingham Living with Diabetes Day in partnership with NHS Birmingham and Solihull, there will be talks from local healthcare professionals on medication, diet, keeping active, and more! 

Type 1 Diabetes Event: Educational Event for Healthcare Professionals

An informal day for anyone working in primary care who comes into contact with people living with type 1 diabetes. By the end of the day, we hope you will go away with the confidence to help make a positive difference in your life.
