Could you donate your time to raise awareness of diabetes?

We need your help to make a difference to the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in the South East Coast and London region living with diabetes. This could be representing the charity and speaking, attending events, or just getting involved!

There are a variety of volunteer roles to suit many interests and a variety of skills and backgrounds.

You can:

  • Join one of our local groups or start your own. Most meet monthly and give individuals the opportunity to get support for their diabetes, fundraise, hear talks from external speakers and much more
  • Campaign through Diabetes Communities in Action.
  • Raise awareness of diabetes and Diabetes UK as a Local Impact Volunteer, by undertaking micro-volunteering tasks, a great role for busy people who still want to give something back.
  • Deliver awareness talks, raise awareness of diabetes and Diabetes UK as a Diabetes Champion by representing Diabetes UK at local events.
  • Attend training and networking events to develop your skills for your volunteer role and meet like-minded and passionate volunteers
  • Become a Young Leader in our youth programme 'Together Type 1'
  • Support Diabetes UK by volunteering at national fundraising events and cheering our cyclists, runners or walkers over the finish line.

… and much more.
