The Young Leaders Project

Young people with Type 1 diabetes are the experts in their own lives and condition. That means you the best people to identify and develop innovative solutions to gaps in support, services and information for young people living with Type 1 diabetes.  

If you agree, please apply to be a Young Leader.

The project will run until August 2018. Young people who get involved will be given the opportunity to develop new skills, meet other young people with Type 1 diabetes, influence positive changes and have fun.

What do young leaders do?

You'll design and deliver project activities as a team at a weekend residential and workshops which engage with other young people with Type 1 diabetes across Scotland.

For the next stage of volunteer recruitment, we will invite applicants to an interview (telephone, Skype or in person) so we can get to know each other and chat more about The Young Leaders Project. 

Successful applicants will required to apply for membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) Scheme.
