The Listening Lab
The Listening Lab is Diabetes UK’s UX (User Experience) research lab and team, based in London. We built the lab to learn more about people living with diabetes and the tech they use - from websites and apps to testing devices and smart products.
With these state-of-the-art facilities and our user research experience in the healthcare UX space and beyond, we also help other researchers, companies, and charities. They get the insights to create more successful products, services, and information, whilst generating additional income to Diabetes UK’s charitable work.
Today the lab supports all sorts of research – for startups prototyping testing devices, studies by medical researchers, testing online shops, and usability work with fundraising innovation teams. You can find out more about our services via the links below:
User research
From research planning to design recommendations, we can take care of focus groups, 1:1 interviews, and usability testing of digital and physical products. We can also deliver remote methods and quantitative research.
Participant recruitment
Tap into our network as UK’s biggest diabetes charity to recruit the right mix of participants for your next research project. We also recruit outside the diabetes space.
Meeting room
Our 30 seat, 51m² viewing room provides an inspiring space for workshops, away days, presentations, training, and other events.
Rates
We offer our modern tech and comfortable rooms at very affordable rates, with a discount for charity projects on top. All proceeds support the work of Diabetes UK.
