Get involved in research

Our research helps us to understand the health of people living with diabetes and their communities. It means we can find ways to prevent diabetes, discover new treatments, improve people’s care, and ultimately, stop diabetes in its tracks.

There are plenty of opportunities to take part in research.

Breakthroughs in diabetes research can only happen with your support. Thank you.

"I am from Sierra Leone in West Africa. I have type 2 diabetes. Taking part in research is good for your own learning, and you’re making a difference. It can be challenging to talk to someone from my background about research. People may think that they’re being used as guinea pigs. But, if I can make a difference to my situation through research, I could make a difference to someone else’s - especially within the African-Caribbean community."  - Tonieh, participant in diabetes research
