Cambridge Clinical Research Fellowships

Fostering the future leaders of clinical research

The Cambridge Clinical Research Fellowships programme has supported outstanding doctors in the early stages of the clinical academic research training pathway. The scheme offers intensive research training in an exceptional environment and provides an early point into a career in clinical academic medicine.  It provides salary support and a consumable allowance for one year during which time it is anticipated that successful candidates will apply for nationally competitive fellowships, with a view to completing a PhD.

Since 2007, Cambridge Clinical Research Fellowships have been supported by Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust, NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre and the Evelyn Trust. In 2019, Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust has partnered with Diabetes UK to co-fund a fellowship in the field of diabetes research or research that is relevant to diabetes including metabolic, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, obesity, immunology, ophthalmology, chronic pain, co-morbidities.

The application process will be managed by the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust and guidelines for applicants and the application form can be found here or obtained from Harriet Webb (harriet.webb@act4addenbrookes.org.uk).

Applications (in the first instance a CV and accompanying statement) should be emailed to Harriet Webb (harriet.webb@act4addenbrookes.org.uk) by 12 noon on Monday 1 April 2019
