We're calling on all UK governments to transform diabetes care and prevention to tackle health inequality, reduce pressure on the NHS and most importantly, improve lives.
With elections for the Senedd and Scottish Parliament on Thursday 8 May, we have set out key asks for the next governments.
In Wales, we’re calling on the next Welsh Government to ensure that every person living with diabetes can access the technologies they need, regardless of their geographic location.
In Scotland, we're calling on the next Scottish Government to take urgent action to improve the experiences and outcomes of people with diabetes, all focused on the need to deliver care, consistency and choice.
These elections are a critical opportunity to improve diabetes care in Wales and Scotland. Change will only happen if decision-makers hear clearly and consistently from the people they represent.
You can help by:
Emailing your local candidates
Using your voice on social media to highlight why diabetes care matters and call for fair, consistent support.
Engaging with candidates to ask them to commit to taking positive action to improve diabetes care.
Sharing your experience to show the impact of policy decisions on everyday life.
Every conversation, message and action helps build momentum for change. Together, we can make diabetes care a priority this election.
