Ready for an adventure and want to make a real difference? From epic UK treks and endurance events to once-in-a-lifetime overseas adventures, there’s a challenge to suit every ambition.
Whether you want to push your limits, discover new places or take on something completely new, you can sign up with one of our trusted providers and choose Diabetes UK as your charity.
By taking on a challenge, you’ll be joining thousands of supporters who are turning their goals into action and helping us make life better for everyone affected by diabetes. You’ll be agreeing to the provider’s Terms & Conditions directly, and we’ll be here to support you along the way.
Self-funded
Cover the cost of your challenge yourself and raise sponsorship for Diabetes UK. Set your own fundraising target - 100% of what you raise comes to us. This is our preferred option and a great way to maximise the impact of your efforts.
Part-funded
Pay a registration fee and part of the challenge cost, then commit to raising a minimum sponsorship for Diabetes UK. If you hit your agreed minimum target by the agreed date, we’ll pay part of the entry cost.
Fundraising option
Pay the registration fee and commit to a minimum sponsorship. Meeting your agreed minimum target by the agreed date means Diabetes UK will be invoiced for event cost.

Once you register with a challenge provider, an email is sent to us so we can approve your participation. Please be aware, in most cases if targets aren’t reached, you’ll be responsible for covering costs.
About donations
All sponsorship you raise is unconditional, which means it is a gift to Diabetes UK regardless of whether the challenge is completed or fundraising targets are met. All sponsorship you raise must include the following wording: Sponsorship is given without conditions. It automatically belongs to Diabetes UK regardless of whether or not an activity is completed.
For offline donations, supporters can use our Sponsorship Form (this includes this statement). For online fundraising (such as JustGiving), include the wording in the fundraising page description or message so donors understand their gift is unconditional.
Thank you for taking on a challenge - every step you take helps us make life better for people living with diabetes.
