Lee says:
"As one of five Steps, I’m delighted to be the face of Diabetes UK’s 1 Million Step Challenge. It’s an event that anyone can get involved in; by walking, running or even dancing. Best of all, by completing one million steps between 1 July and 30 September, you can also raise money for Diabetes UK.
“Surprisingly, diabetes affects more people in the country than cancer and dementia combined. This is a subject close to my heart because I have seen first-hand the effects diabetes can have on the body; my grandfather, father and mother in law were all diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
Never underestimate the positive effect a healthy lifestyle can have on the body. Everyone has to start somewhere and, by taking part in the 1 Million Step challenge you’re not only taking that big first step towards a happier healthier life, you’re also joining me in supporting this great cause. And you’ll have some fun while you’re doing it."
