Supporter Spotlight
Winter 2025
Our supporters continue to amaze and inspire us with their incredible fundraising stories. On this page you can join us in celebrating their achievements.
Matthew Cartlidge
Matthew Cartlidge and the Positively Connected JLR Team completed the 2025 Jaguar Land Rover challenge, raising awareness and funds for us. Despite difficult navigation tasks, twelve miles of walking, and camping, the team smashed their target!
Blackmore Vale Lions Club
Huge thanks to the Blackmore Vale Lions Club for their generosity and support of us through the Half Marathon, raising £1,750 despite weather delays. We’re honoured to be their charity partner and grateful for all involved.
Mira Patel
In October 2025, Mira climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in memory of her dad and uncle, raising £4,832 for us. With three friends, she honoured their values by giving back, facing fear, and living life fully every day.
An Extraordinary Climb for an Extraordinary Cause
A team of doctors, dentists, and three young people climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to support those affected by diabetes, raising £14,841. Their determination turned every step into hope, progress, and a powerful act of generosity. Thank you!
Madisyn McGibbon
Madison and her Heriot-Watt University team raised £623 at their second staff fundraiser and raffle. Inspired by their successful World Diabetes Day 2024 efforts, they chose to support us again!
Layla
After Layla's friend Rafe was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at six, Layla raised £339 through creative fundraisers. Her determination inspired her whole school to learn more and support those living with diabetes.
