The future of diabetes

Have your say Future of diabetes lock up

What's life with diabetes like now? What do you think it'll be like in five or 10 years' time? We want to know.

Complete our short survey and tell us your hopes for new treatments and technologies and what you think diabetes care should be like.

Taking part will make sure we're campaigning on the issues you care about. And we'll use our findings to make the government and the NHS know how best to support you to live well with diabetes in the future.

Have your say

The survey is open until the end of August and takes around 10 minutes to complete.

By completing the survey you'll be entered into a prize draw to win one of five £50 Tesco vouchers.

How can you get involved?

This project is about talking to as many people as possible who are living with or affected by diabetes. We've worked to make sure that we hear voices from Land's End to the Lake District, as well as from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We really want your views to shape the future of diabetes and the issues Diabetes UK campaigns on.

The simplest way to get involved is to complete our online survey. Please help us reach as many people as possible and encourage friends and family living with or affected by diabetes to take the survey too - we'd love to hear from them.

On top of this, hundreds of people have taken part in local group conversations across the UK. Excitingly, we also held 7 big conversation events in all 4 nations and spoke to people living with and affected by diabetes about their hopes and fears for the future.

You can read about blogger Emma Bostock's experience at the London big conversation event in June. Or about how Helen May left the Bristol big conversation event feeling privileged to have met so many passionate people. And Andy Broomhead talks about his eye-opening day spent at the Leeds big conversation event.

How will we use what you tell us?

All the information that we gather will help us to write the future of diabetes report that we will launch on World Diabetes Day in November.

The report will help us work with UK governments and NHS to push for the changes you want to see happen. This could be changes in care, services or support.  It'll also help us know that as a charity we're campaigning on the issues that matter to you. Check this page for future updates.
