Type 1 events

You’ll know that Type 1 diabetes is not simple. Diabetes UK’s Type 1 Events are designed to make life that little bit easier. They give children, teenagers, adults and families affected by Type 1 the chance to meet up, make friends, share experiences and learn from each other.

All our Type 1 Events are supported by a team of volunteers who are healthcare professionals or have personal experiences of living with diabetes themselves or through family and friends.

Previously known as Care Events, our Type 1 Events have been giving people a safe and fun environment to get to grips with diabetes for over 80 years. We run residential events for children, family weekends and one day events for adults across the UK throughout the year.

We'll be announcing our programme of Type 1 Events for 2018 at the end of November. Register your interest now to find out as soon as these are available on our website.
