Full-sugar Coca-Cola could be mixed in with Zero Sugar multipacks, company warns

Coca-Cola GB has issued a safety notice for their Zero Sugar multipacks after a manufacturing mistake has led to cans of Coca-Cola Original Taste, which is the full-sugar version of the drink, being mixed in with the packs.

The affected multipacks of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar have Christmas packaging on them. If you have any of these Christmas multipacks, we recommend checking the cans inside the pack to see if there are Coca-Cola Original Taste cans included.

Full-sugar fizzy drinks contain carbs, which some people living with diabetes might need to manage a hypo, where blood sugar levels become too low. If you drink a full-sugar drink without realising, it could lead to a hyper, where your blood sugar levels become too high.

Coca-Cola GB is asking people who open one of these Coca-Cola Zero Sugar multipacks and find they contain cans of Coca-Cola Original Taste to call a member of their team on 0800 22 77 11, who will be able to help. Their lines are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. The Coca-Cola Zero Sugar multipacks impacted by this production error have best before end dates of 31 October 2023 or 30 November 2023.
