This Morning presenters Eamonn Holmes and partner Ruth Langsford have shown their commitment to Get Serious about diabetes by signing up to the campaign.
By giving us their name and email address they have joined more than 3,000 other Get Serious supporters across the UK who want to see diabetes be made a top priority.
Eamonn recently set himself a very public challenge to lose weight, get fit and raise funds for Diabetes UK through his Saturday night ITV series ‘The Feelgood Factor’ which he also co-hosted. For every pound in weight Eamonn lost, a pound or more in cash was shared between Diabetes UK and Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke.
Why Get Serious?
Asked why he wanted to Get Serious for Diabetes UK, Eamonn said: “I have friends who have had Type 2 diabetes creep up on them because of weight problems.
“I hope by getting serious, I will raise awareness of the connection between Type 2 diabetes and being overweight and, of course, show my support of all the great work Diabetes UK does.”
Please help us Get Serious. We really need more people to sign up and show their support.
Please note that this campaign has now closed, and the microsite is no longer available.
