Northern Ireland

Volunteer's Week celebration event

Care for a Cuppa

When? Wednesday 24th June 2026
When? 10:30-11:30am and 7-8pm
Where? Online via Zoom.
Who can attend? Friendly support group for people living with or affected by type 1, type 2 and prediabetes.

Live Well Hubs

When, where, what time, and what to expect?  

Our Northern Ireland team offers diabetes support and information to local communities through their Live Well Hubs.

The National Lottery Funded project has helped the team launch Hubs in Bangor, Ballymena, Belfast (Houben Centre), Belfast (LORAG), Lisburn, Mid Ulster and Newry.

Scotland

Living with or at risk of type 2 diabetes in Scotland

When? Wednesday 17th June 2026

Who can attend? This event is for people living with or who are at risk of type 2 diabetes, and healthcare professionals.
What to expect: Join us to learn more about type 2 diabetes prevention, remission and treatment, including weight loss in Scotland.

Laugharne Wellbeing Hub

Abergavenny Coffee Morning 

When? Saturday 13th January 2026 
What time? 10am-12pm 
Where? Wellbeing Information Centre, Abergavenny, NP7 5HL
Who can attend? Friendly support group for people living with, or otherwise connected to, diabetes.
What to expect? This is the first diabetes coffee morning to be held at the Wellbeing Information Centre, providing support, resources and a safe space to come and chat and meet new friends.

Pontypridd Armed Forces Day - Picnic in the Park

When? Saturday 20th June 2026

What to expect? Diabetes UK Cymru will be supporting Pontypridd Armed Forces Day. We will have a stand at the community picnic to raise awareness of diabetes and support Welsh veterans.
