Working in Primary Care and passionate about diabetes? You could be a Diabetes UK Trustee

Diabetes UK is the largest organisation in the UK working for the 3.65 million people with diabetes, funding research, campaigning and supporting people who live with the condition. Following the appointment last year of Barbara Young as our new Chief Executive, the charity is entering an exciting phase of development.

What we are looking for

We have a vacancy coming up in July on our 12-strong Board of Trustees and we are looking for a healthcare professional working in primary care to fill it. We are committed to ensuring we have representation on the Board from all parts of the UK, and applications for potential Trustees living and working in Wales are particularly welcome.

We welcome Trustees who are enthusiastic about Diabetes UK’s work and who can contribute to the development and oversight of the charity. Being a Trustee with this reputable charity will be both challenging and extremely rewarding. Through your work, and with your knowledge, you will be able to contribute to the charity’s impact on the lives of people with diabetes.

As a Trustee you are asked to attend nine Board meetings a year (usually held in London). Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
