People with a long-term health condition like diabetes can get extra help from their energy provider if there’s a power cut or your gas or electricity supply is interrupted. Contact your energy provider to ask to be added to their Priority Services Register. Find out more information below or read our page about the register. Reducing stress

If you have diabetes and receive means-tested benefit and are referred to a diabetes specialist such as a dietitian, you may be able to claim a refund from the NHS for any travel costs to the appointments.
