- Put the grape juice, lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods and vanilla essence into a large pan with 300ml water.
- Heat gently until the sugar has dissolved. Add the pears. Cover and simmer gently for 10–12 minutes or until the pears are softened slightly.
- Serve the pears hot with a little of the cooking liquid.
- Serve with 0% fat Greek yogurt to cut back on fat and calories.
