Impressive, yet simple, these spicy seafood skewers are a great healthy party nibble. They can be eaten hot or cold.

20 squid rings
10 raw peeled jumbo king prawns
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 small red chilli, finely chopped
juice and finely grated zest 1 lemon
1 tsp rapeseed oil

Method

Recipe tips
  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 10 minutes before threading on the seafood.
  • The skewers can also be cooked under a hot grill for 4-5 minutes turning once, to ensure the prawn is fully cooked through. Put a little foil over the exposed wood on the skewers to prevent them from burning under the grill.
