Attendees will learn how to maintain a healthy diet and become more confident in managing their diabetes day-to-day. There will also be an opportunity to ask diabetes experts questions and get practical up-to-date information.

The event, which is supported by NHS Basildon and Brentwood Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), is free and open to any adult living with type 2 diabetes, or people who care for others with the condition.

Malcolm Bigg (pictured), Diabetes UK Brentwood Local Group chairman, said:

“We know living with type 2 diabetes can be hard, so we wanted to organise an event which encourages people to think about how they manage their condition and what they could do differently.

“Hearing from health experts and other people with type 2 diabetes can offer a great amount of support and guidance, reducing the risk of developing complications and living a better quality life.”

Places are limited, to attend please sign up at brentwoodlwdd2019.eventbrite.co.uk
or call 01376 501390.

Date: Thursday 21 February, 9.30am-4.30pm
Venue: Doddinghurst Road Church, 56-60 Doddinghurst Road, Doddinghurst, Brentwood, CM15 9EH.
