Our free Type 1 bags for parents with a child who has been newly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes are now available in Welsh.
The bags are designed to make your child’s first year of living with diabetes as easy as possible. They include a Welsh language guide for parents about everyday life with Type 1 diabetes, first-hand stories from people living with the condition, an ‘Away From Home’ guide, and a handy pocket-sized leaflet full of quick tips and hints.
Help and guidance
The bags also contain a Welsh language Type 1 at School Parent Pack, which is full of information for you, your child and their teachers on how to manage the condition throughout the school day. Included in the pack are guidelines for teachers on how to look after children with Type 1 diabetes, a breakdown of the common myths that surround the condition, a diabetes log book, and advice for kids on coping with diabetes at school.
