Researchers at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Anglia Ruskin University, would like to recruit adults (18 years and over) with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who have lived with diabetes for at least five years, preferably with a history of diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), as well as their carers who support them, to take part in a study exploring how a user-centred mobile health application framework can support self-managed foot care and help address barriers to daily foot care.
The study aims to understand the behavioural, motivational, and usability-related factors that influence engagement in how people with diabetes care for their feet — and to use these insights to inform the design of a mobile health application framework for people with diabetes.
Taking part involves completing a short online questionnaire about your experiences with diabetes self-care, digital health technologies, and potential application features. Some participants may also be invited to take part in an online interview or focus group to discuss their experiences and views in more detail. Participation is voluntary, and interview/focus group participants will receive a £10 voucher as a thank-you for their time.
