Researchers at University College Cork (UCC), Ireland, are inviting people aged 18 or over living with a chronic illness who are currently employed, or who have experience of employment while living with their condition, to take part in a research study exploring workplace experiences and chronic illness disclosure.
The study focuses on whether individuals choose to share their condition at work and how this may influence their working lives. The research is centred on participants’ workplace experiences rather than the nature of their
condition itself.
Participation involves completing a short, anonymous online survey, which takes approximately 10-15 minutes. At the end of the survey, participants may also choose whether they would be interested in taking part in an optional follow-up, open-ended interview lasting approximately 60-90 minutes, for which they will receive a €30 voucher.
