Researchers at Royal Holloway, University of London would like to recruit adults (aged 18+) who:
- have been living with type 1 diabetes for at least one year
- have a healthcare professional diagnosis of ADHD
- are comfortable reading and speaking English
- are currently living in the UK.
This study aims to explore what it is like to manage ADHD and type 1 diabetes together day-to-day, what feels challenging or helpful, and how healthcare professionals can better support people managing both conditions.
The findings aim to help improve diabetes care for people living with both type 1 diabetes and ADHD.
Taking part will involve:
- completing a short questionnaire about your background, ADHD and type 1 diabetes
- a one-to-one interview with Lily Rudd, Lead Researcher (45–60 minutes)
- talking about your experiences of living with type 1 diabetes and ADHD.
Interviews will take place online via Microsoft Teams, with in-person options available if online access isn’t possible.
