Researchers at King's College London would like to recruit people who:
- are a member of a diabetes charity;
- are above the age of 18;
- are diagnosed with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes;
- have experienced both telemedicine (technological devices such as phones or laptops) and in-person appointments for the management of their diabetes
to take part in an undergraduate study. The study aims to explore differences in experiences between the usage of telemedicine and in-person appointments, people's overall preferences, and provide suggestions to improve the healthcare delivery mechanisms for the management of diabetes.
The anonymous survey will ask both closed (multiple choice) and open-ended (long answer) questions regarding your experiences of telemedicine and in-person appointments for the management of your diabetes. The responses will be used for a content analysis (converting your responses into numerical format by finding out key words/themes).
Taking part will help the researchers to gain valuable insight on differences in experiences of telemedicine and in-person appointments, overall preferences of healthcare delivery type, and concerns/suggestions to help improve the quality and efficiency of these healthcare deliveries for the future.
