Developing Training Modules for Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes Management
Following on from this year’s Diabetes UK Professional Conference session presented by Dr Imogen Felton (Royal Brompton Hospital, London) on the Challenges of Cystic Fibrosis (CF)-Related Diabetes, healthcare professionals are invited below to take part in the national CF-related diabetes (CFRD) survey in association with the UK CF Trust.
People with CF are now living increasingly longer and healthier lives. As such, the prevalence of this important comorbidity is rising. Approximately half of adults with CF develop CFRD which has a consequently deleterious effect on their health, psychological status and mortality.
The focus of the survey is on defining the breadth of CFRD service provision, and finding out what access is currently available to high-quality educational materials for both CF and Diabetes MDT health care professionals.
The survey takes approximately 5 minutes to complete and the deadline for responses is 31 May 2019.
