Diabetes Week is an annual event in June led by Diabetes UK that raises awareness of diabetes and is a great opportunity for healthcare professionals to get patients and people at risk of diabetes engaged in learning more about diabetes and managing their condition. The theme for this year is

We need professionals to promote diabetes and Diabetes UK as much as they can during Diabetes Week. If you are in a practice or a workplace with a themed notice board why not have a diabetes theme for June? Order your freesupporter packsupporter packfull of posters and flyers to put up to raise awareness.
Leading up to Diabetes Week get your patients to think about how they can manage their condition well and how they can live life to the full. Then, during the week, join in the conversation by sharing their hints, tips and stories. We can be found on Facebook and Twitter, using the hashtag #DiabetesAndMe
We will be kicking off Diabetes Week with the the Big Collection. We will be collecting in 300 Tesco stores across the UK on the weekend of 13 and 14 June and need volunteers to help us collect. For more information and to sign up firstname.lastname@example.org
