Diabetes UK is committed to bringing people and ideas together to make change happen. Across the country, we know that healthcare professionals are constantly developing new and innovative ways to improve care for people with diabetes.
We want to inspire and accelerate change in the NHS by supporting healthcare professionals to share examples of good practice.
In this month’s callout, we are searching for good practice examples of hospitals empowering people with diabetes to self-manage during admission.
Have you developed a successful self-management policy that has been implemented across your hospital? Are ward staff confident in using it? Do you have positive feedback from people with diabetes who have self-managed while in hospital?
No example of good practice is too small to make a difference. Your ideas could have a real and lasting impact on the lives of people with diabetes across the UK.
