We've created this position statement for policy makers and healthcare professionals.
It is essential that governments across the four UK nations take account of the clinical data and the experiences of people with diabetes to inform policies and guidance, as lockdown measures are adapted or eased, to ensure all people with diabetes are protected and supported.
This position statement makes recommendations about the factors to consider when assessing the individual risk of adults with diabetes in relation to COVID-19. It also makes recommendations about the action required to protect and support people with diabetes.
