This Christmas, we’re dreaming of a world where diabetes does no harm. Every day we're one step closer.
At the moment, diabetes does too much harm. It causes numerous complications like heart failures, amputations and strokes. Every day 65 people with diabetes die early.
Your support means we’re able to help 4.5 million people with diabetes in the UK live healthy and happy lives, like six-year-old Harriet - pictured below.
Harriet was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes just after Christmas last year. Her mum Hannah, got help from Diabetes UK, by asking questions on our support forum and bringing the whole family to attend one of our Type 1 Weekender events.
Harriet is a brave little girl who’s dealt with this new challenge brilliantly. Every day she has the tools to manage her diabetes, so she can lead a full and healthy life. With your support we can continue to give people with diabetes, like Harriet, better care and information.
Your support this Christmas can also help us get even closer to a cure. We’re funding more than 120 research projects into all types of diabetes, and we know from our past successes that research can transform lives and diabetes care.
This Christmas, please will you make a donation towards our vital work in the fight against diabetes? It’s only with your help that we can push ahead with ground-breaking research to find a cure and change lives for the better, now and in the future.
Together we can turn a world where diabetes does no harm into a reality.
