Save for later

The London Marathon really was a brilliant day and I would recommend it to anyone

Louise Haworth's step-son was diagnosed with Type 1 twenty years ago, she took on the London Marathon to raise money & help one day find a cure.

"My step-son, Peter, was diagnosed with Type 1 over 20 years ago. He is very stoical and just gets on with life but it would be wonderful to find a cure in his lifetime (he's mid 40s). I have raised money for other charities and thought it was about time to help Diabetes UK.

You will have fantastic support before, during and after the event and potentially help change the lives of millions of people - go for it!"

If you’ve been lucky enough to get a place in this year’s London Marathonwe’d love to have you to join TeamDUK. Sign up today.
