Diabetes UK is calling on people living the UK who have Type 2 diabetes to take part in a major survey.
The UK’s leading charitable funder for diabetes research wants to gather the opinions of thousands of people with Type 2 diabetes, to help them find out what the biggest questions and concerns are about Type 2 diabetes that people living with the condition want scientists to answer.
Elizabeth Robertson, Director of Research at Diabetes UK, said: “I would urge everyone with Type 2 diabetes to take part. Diabetes UK has been a pioneer of research for over 80 years and we have been directly involved in research breakthroughs that have changed our understanding and treatment of diabetes forever.
"We know it’s vitally important that the research we fund truly reflects the needs of people with diabetes and those that care for them. This is a fantastic opportunity for people with Type 2 diabetes to help direct research to where it’s needed most and potentially deliver life-changing results.”
If you would like to take part or find out more please go to the Type 2 survey page. The survey will be open until August 2016 and is also open to carers and healthcare professionals. If you are unable to use an online form, Diabetes UK can send you a paper version or you can call 0345 123 2399 to record your responses.
Diabetes UK will only collect contact details to ask if you would like to take part in the next phase of the process and to let you know about the results. Your details will not be used for fundraising purposes.
