The nomination forms for Diabetes UK’s professional working groups are now online and ready to be completed.
If you are a healthcare professional and would like to represent Diabetes UK and help influence changes in diabetes care, take a look at the seats currently available and put your name forward.
A seat for a consultant physician is presently available on both the Healthcare Delivery and Professional Support and Development working groups. The Healthcare Delivery working group is also looking for a paediatric specialist.
The following seats have become vacant in the Science and Research working group:
- Two non-clinical scientist seats
- Clinical scientist
- Primary Care Practitioner
In addition to the above, Diabetes UK is seeking members from any sphere of healthcare in Northern Ireland to stand for two national representative seats.
Vital part of Diabetes UK
The professional working groups are a vital part of the charity’s work, and the input of their members is a crucial element of our consultation process.
You will represent the views of a wide range of stakeholders, as well as take part in projects which are considered vital to the effectiveness of diabetes care in the 21st century.
It is your chance to have input into the way the charity works and speak up on behalf of your profession.
Download a nomination form (Word, 55KB) and send back before Tuesday 31 March at noon.
If you are a professional member, log into the webspace to read about the experiences of existing professional working group members.
If you have any questions about the process, please contact David Bryant in the Healthcare Professional Relations team by phone: 020 7424 1130, or email david.bryant@ diabetes.org.uk.
