Videos for your patients: DAFNE & X-PERT

In a recent Diabetes UK survey, 78 per cent of people

said they would be interested in learning more about their diabetes, showing there is demand for more information and education if barriers can be overcome. One major obstacle can be that patients are not aware of what courses are available, do not know what topics will be covered, and so are unaware of the benefits of attending. That’s where these videos come in.

Diabetes UK has gone behind the scenes of a DAFNE and X-PERT course to provide insights into what to expect from diabetes education courses. The videos talk about the physical and mental benefits, along with increased confidence in managing the condition and therefore potentially preventing diabetes-related complications. These videos can be accessed for free. Please use and share them with patients to help break down barriers to attendance and show the benefits of education courses.
