Congratulations on receiving our Good Diabetes Care in School Award

""

We're delighted to have you on board as a Good Diabetes Care in School Award holder.

Your school is one of the growing numberĀ of schools who have won our prestigious award. This puts your school in a unique position to let parents, and other schools, know that you offer good practice management for children with type 1 diabetes at your school.

Good Diabetes Care in School Award logo

Being a Good Diabetes Care in School Award Holder is something to be very proud of. It shows that your school takes the care and inclusion of children with medical conditions, such as diabetes, very seriously and that you have recognition from us that you are delivering good practice care.Ā Ā

The award celebrates and acknowledges all the great work your school is doing to support children and young people with diabetes. We hope this award will be of great value to your staff and the children and families at your school.Ā

You should have received your schools trophy and certificate which are both valid for two years. We have attached links to the Good Diabetes Care in School Award logos to use on your school stationery and promotional materials throughout this two years. This is a great way of letting people know about your success.

Weā€™ve also attached guidelinesĀ (PDF, 91KB) for use of the logo, to help you make the most out of your status as an award holder.

Good Diabetes Practice Schools

One of our key objectives is to create opportunities for schools around the country to learn and get support from schools that are Good Diabetes Care in School Award holders. Ā

To achieve this, we want to create a list of contact reference schools to share with parents and other schools who would benefit from gaining insight into the ways in which these good practice schools manage children with diabetes. We believe that the more good practice information is shared amongst schools, the more schools will gain the knowledge and confidence to deliver good diabetes care.

If you would like to be part of this exciting network, please complete the attachedĀ formĀ (PDF, 68KB) and return it to makethegrade@diabetes.org.uk.Ā
