Join us for a sponsored summertime walk through some of Cardiff’s best-loved parks and green spaces.
The walk, on Sunday 21 July, will cover eight miles, following the River Taff past some of the capital’s iconic landmarks.
If you’re taking part in this year’s 1 Million Steps Challenge, it's a great opportunity to get some serious stepping in!
Iconic landmarks
Starting from Hailey Park at 11am, walkers will pass through Pontcanna Fields and into Bute Park in the city centre.
After passing Cardiff Castle, the route then follows the Taff Embankment to Cardiff Bay and across the Barrage. Walkers will then round Cardiff Marina to cross the finish line at Diabetes UK Cymru’s office in Global Reach.
The wide, flat route is suitable for all abilities and everyone will receive a medal for taking part.
Walk at your pace
Everyone is welcome to complete the distance at their own pace, and we’ll be waiting to celebrate with you at the finish line! Get your friends and family to sponsor you, or even better, to join in themselves.
Every penny raised will allow us to continue to support the 194,000 people living with diabetes across Wales, and their families.
