Researchers at University of Leeds would like to recruit people aged 11-18, with type 1 diabetes, who are enrolled at a mainstream secondary school, to take part in a study that aims to understand the school lives of young people with long-term health conditions.
They want to hear from as many young people as possible so they can understand what life is like for young people with type 1 diabetes. This will help them to work on plans to make things better in the future.
If you would like to take part, you will be asked to complete an online survey which will take 8-10 minutes and has 60 statements about what life is like at school. For example: 'my friends support me with my health at school'. You will be asked to tick a box to say whether those statements are true for you or not. You can also choose not to answer any questions that you do not want to answer.
The researchers will not share your answers with anyone. At the end of the survey, you can choose to give us your (or your parent/carer’s) email address so we can let you know the results of the project and enter you into the prize draw to win a £50 GiftPay voucher.
