GP and Primary Care Lead for Diabetes, Glasgow
Kashif is currently involved in the development of a new type 2 diabetes pathway. He is also involved in implementation of type 2 diabetes prevention strategy at a local level. As a Clinical Champion, Kashif would like to improve the monitoring process for people living with diabetes. This could include proposed one-stop monitoring “hubs” in which patients can attend for monitoring of all their “9 processes of care”.
Kashif hopes to improve access to lifestyle interventions and promote type 2 diabetes education in Glasgow. He would like to develop better education and communication pathways for primary and secondary care.
Cycling, keeping fit and a young active family help Kashif to remain focused and invigorated to improve the lives of people living with diabetes.
