Clinical Lead Podiatrist, East London Foundation Trust
As one of our Clinical Champions, Marie's plan is to develop a service within the renal unit to allow patients with diabetes who dialyse to have access to podiatry. This group of people may miss podiatry appointments or in some cases be unknown by, or unaware of podiatry and as a result do not have the same access to the service as other patients.
Background
Marie has been in her role as Clinical Lead Podiatrist for 2 years. Prior to this she spent 13 years working in the same trust as a specialist podiatrist in long-term conditions. Marie has an interest in diabetes and as a result completed an MSc in Diabetes from The University of Brighton.
