Working in partnership with Tesco

We're working with two other leading health charities and the leading food retailer to help tackle the UK’s biggest health challenges.

The partnership, 'Helping you to live healthier', brings together our skills, along with those of the British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK and Tesco, to help lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes.

Cancer, heart and circulatory diseases and diabetes account for around half of all deaths in the UK. We all know someone diagnosed, living with or who has sadly lost their lives to one of these conditions, yet four in 10 cases of cancer, up to five in 10 cases of type 1 diabetes, and many heart and circulatory diseases can be prevented. There is a need to raise awareness of the conditions and build understanding of how to prevent them, for example by making healthier food choices, as this can make a big difference to your risk of these conditions in the future.

Over five years, we'll work together to help Tesco’s 300,000 UK colleagues and millions of shoppers make healthier habits.

The partnership aims to inspire, empower and support Tesco colleagues, customers and their families to make healthier food choices and live healthier lives, bringing about measurable changes to the behaviours that can lower the risk of cancer, heart and circulatory diseases and type 2 diabetes.

Our partnership is making a difference

With 13.6 million people at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, we are working together to reduce this number. By helping more people understand their risk, we can help more people to reduce it. Find out more about how to reduce your risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
