You have the opportunity to become a marathon hero, no matter your running experience. You have the 31 days of October to conquer the marathon distance of 26.2 miles, in your local area. You decide where you run, and you decide when. Run towards a healthier future for you, and a better future for people with diabetes.

  • No minimum sponsorship requirement; although we would suggest a target of £262 - £10 for each mile

We'll support you all the way to the finish line

This challenge isn't easy, but we're absolutely sure that you can do it. Not only do we know you can do it, but we're sure that you'll enjoy how it makes you feel. And we're going to support you all the through the 26.2 miles. So before you take on your marathon, you’ll receive a welcome pack through the post. It will include advice on what to prepare before starting your challenge, fundraising tips, a record card to log your miles and a sponsorship form. We'll also be providing plenty of supportive, and interesting, running content along the way.

We'll create a Run26 Tracker page for you

You will also get your very own Run26 Tracker, an online page where you can log your distance and keep a running total, collect virtual badges, keep track of your fundraising and share your progress with everyone on your social media.

"I’m really excited to get started, although slightly nervous too! I’m a total novice when it comes to running so I’m using Run26 to get me going, and using my fundraising for extra inspiration"

- Lynsey, taking on Run26
