Together Type 1: Midlands and East of England

Living with type 1 diabetes can be hard. It can be frustrating, lonely and sometimes feel overwhelming.

Our Together Type 1 youth programme aims to change that. We're a dedicated community for everyone aged 11-25 living with type 1 diabetes. A community to share experiences, learn new skills, be a voice for young people living with diabetes, and help share campaigns fighting for better diabetes care and support.

But above all, it’s an opportunity to connect and have fun with people who understand first-hand the experience of living with diabetes.

Meet the Team

Adam and Lilly lead our Midlands and East of England Together Type 1 Youth Programme, which is funded by the Steve Morgan Foundation. Together they're recruiting and supporting Young Leaders to deliver peer support, advocating diabetes awareness and being a voice of change for diabetes care for all young people living with the condition.

Our Together Type 1 Team are also working to create a series of virtual and in-person events, engaging with healthcare professionals and designing social media content to support and positively impact the health and wellbeing of other young people with type 1 diabetes
