  • 3-4 sticks celery, cut into 14 x 5cm long pieces
  • 100g reduced-fat cottage cheese
  • Topping for the tomato and basil bites:
  • 15g sundried tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh basil
  • pinch white pepper
  • pinch paprika pepper
  • Topping for the Parma ham and spring onion bites:
  • 1 slice Parma ham, finely chopped
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped
  • pinch white pepper

Recipe tips
  • Use pieces of sweet pepper or hollowed out cucumber rather than celery.
  • Try experimenting with flavours - you could add curry paste or try different herbs such as coriander or dill.
  • By sprinkling one flavour with paprika you can easily identify which canapés are vegetarian.
  • Freezing instructions: Freeze in portions then defrost in the microwave. Heat until piping-hot, stirring regularly. Eat immediately and discard any leftovers.
