Researchers at University College Cork (UCC), Ireland, are inviting people aged 18 or over living with a chronic illness who are currently employed, or who have experience of employment while living with their condition, to take part in a research study exploring workplace experiences and chronic illness disclosure.
 

The study focuses on whether individuals choose to share their condition at work and how this may influence their working lives. The research is centred on participants’ workplace experiences rather than the nature of their
condition itself.
 

Researchers at York St. John University would like to recruit people:

•  aged 18 or over;
•  who identify as having a disability or a health condition (such as diabetes) that they may consider to be disabling;
• and/or identify as neurodivergent

 to take part in a study exploring people's experiences of questionnaires that assess eating disorders in research and care settings.

Researchers at the University of Nottingham would like to recruit people aged between 18- 60 years living with type 2 diabetes, and who are on diet control or Metformin treatment specifically, to take part in a study that aims to study sensitivity to sweetness in people living with type 2 diabetes.

The research involves an online questionnaire, which may take between 1 hour to 1.5 hours. The study team will send the taste kits to your address, and there will be an online meeting on MS Teams.

Researchers at University of Bath would like to recruit people living with type 2 diabetes and whose total household income is less than £36,700 a year to take part in a study to explore perceptions and decisions around type 2 diabetes education.

To gain an in-depth understanding of your individual diabetes experience, we will ask you to create a timeline that captures the chronological sequence of events, decisions, and emotional experiences you have had throughout your journey with type 2 diabetes. You'll then discuss this in a one-to-one interview.

Researchers at Imperial College London would like to recruit adults living with prediabetes, or diagnosed with type 2 diabetes with HbA1c between 48 and 52 mmol/mol, to take part in a study that is looking to see how the diabetes drug, semaglutide, may prevent steroid-induced diabetes. 

Who: Individuals aged 18-40 living with type 1 diabetes who can attend the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

What: Giving two blood samples, one in the morning between 7-9am and another 10-14 hours later, at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. Eligible participants who successfully donate both samples will be provided with a £300 voucher from Lovetoshop.

More than half of type 1 diabetes is diagnosed in adults but very little is known about how the condition develops. Researchers at the University of Bristol are conducting a study testing blood samples in the UK general population to assess people's risk of developing type 1 diabetes.

To take part people must: 
•    be living in the United Kingdom
•    be aged between 18 and 70 years.

Researchers at Ulster University would like to recruit people:

• living in Northern Ireland
• aged 18 years or older
• living with type 2 diabetes (and diagnosed more than 6 months ago)

to take part in a study that is aiming to assess diabetes-related nutrition knowledge among individuals with type 2 diabetes in Northern Ireland and examine links with dietary intake.  

The study will be conducted remotely and will involve the following:
