Diabetes in School Short Film Compeition

Kaitlyn's film No Limits won the Best Group Film award in the Diabetes in School Short Film Competition. All the entries can be found on our YouTube page.

Type 1 diabetes is a complex condition that can pose many problems and can make school life more difficult.

Although many schools provide good care for children with the condition, we know that this isn't always the case. Our Care in School Helpline will give you information and support to make a change at your child's school.

When children, parents, healthcare professionals and schools work together any difficulties can be overcome.

Diabetes UK is passionate about making sure children with Type 1 diabetes get the care they need in school. That's why, as part of our Type 1 diabetes: Make the grade campaign, we're working hard to make sure schools and parents across the UK have the information, confidence and resources to make this happen.

* Scotland and Northern Ireland have developed nation-specific packs with their respective government departments, Making Connections: Supporting Children and Young People with Type 1 Diabetes in Education (Scotland) and What Diabetes Care to Expect in Schools (Northern Ireland). Diabetes Scotland and Diabetes UK Northern Ireland will announce when their packs have been produced, but for now, please order your (UK-wide) Type 1 diabetes at school: Parent pack/School pack.
