Remember a Charity Week

Pass on something wonderful!

Now more than ever Diabetes UK is relying on gifts in Wills from people like you to help fund pioneering diabetes research and provide life-changing support and advice to improve the lives of thousands of people affected by diabetes now and in the future.

The last few years have prompted many of us to reflect on the things that matter the most – family, friends and the causes close to your heart. We’ve also been reminded of the value of planning for the future, to help us look after the things we care about most.

Remember A Charity Week, from 9 to 15 September, is the perfect opportunity to consider passing on something wonderful by leaving a gift to Diabetes UK in your Will.

Will you give hope for a world without Diabetes with a gift in your Will?

Gifts in Wills help to fund over 40% our work. Thanks to supporters who in the past kindly left a gift to Diabetes UK in their Wills, we’ve helped fund the first insulin pen, artificial pancreas, and research to put type 2 diabetes into remission. And we won’t stop until we’ve found a cure.

Making and leaving a gift in your Will to Diabetes UK is easier than you might think.

After taking care of loved ones, even a small amount can make a huge impact. A gift in your Will could help rewrite the future for the next generation of people living with and affected by diabetes.

“When I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes aged 18, I was told I’d have to ‘learn to live with it’. But there was no one to turn to for advice and managing my diabetes was trial and error. Thanks to amazing support and information I received from Diabetes UK, I now have a much better understanding of my diabetes, access to new technology like insulin pens and the freestyle libre to help manage my blood sugar levels throughout the day.

I’ve decided to include a gift in my Will to Diabetes UK to help future generations of people living with diabetes get the help and support they need when they need it. I want to make life easier for people because I know just how hard it can be.”

- Arlene, Legacy Pledger, photo taken in 1974 when Arlene was first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes
