Diabetes UK conference grants
For 2023's conference, we are delighted to offer a limited number of conference grants (up to a maximum of £150 per applicant) to those who have been selected to present their abstract at the conference and are professional members of Diabetes UK. These are intended to assist with travel and accommodation requirements to attend the conference.
Please complete the online application forms by 24 February 2023. Grants will be payable, by online transfer, following the conference once we have verified your attendance and presentation, and received your bank details.

Hospital/Clinic training departments
Apply to your training department in the first instance.
Charities attached to hospitals/clinics
If a charity is attached to your hospital/clinic, check if they fund attendance to educational events and apply to them.
Pharmaceutical funding
Funding for educational conferences can be obtained via your pharmaceutical representative. Each company has a different application procedure, so do liaise with your representative on how to apply for funding.
Once you have received confirmation that your pharmaceutical representative will be able to fund all or part of your registration fee, we can accept payment through all the payment methods listed on our how-to-pay page.
Pharmaceutical companies cannot fund delegates to attend social events (i.e. the conference dinner).
