We provide information, advice and peer support, so people with diabetes can manage their condition effectively. Our services are also available to family members, friends and carers so they can support those with the condition.
Our services
The Diabetes UK Helpline is the only dedicated diabetes helpline in the UK. Staffed by trained advisors with counselling skills, Helpline helps callers with any diabetes related question or problem by phone or by email.
Our advocacy service gives people with diabetes information to help them understand their legal rights and entitlements.
We help people with diabetes, their family members and friends by offering information in print and online covering all aspects of diabetes. We also provide specialist information for healthcare professionals. Printed material can be ordered by calling 0800 585 088 or going to our Online shop.
We provide opportunities to network with other people affected by diabetes via more than 300 local diabetes groups across the UK, lively and popular online communities, and a telephone and online peer support service.
Our programme of support events for children and their families provide a relaxed and fun environment in which young people living with Type 1 diabetes and their families can get together, share experiences and receive advice from volunteer healthcare professionals.
