Council of Healthcare Professionals

Made up of healthcare professionals across the board, the Council of Healthcare Professionals (CHP) is an advisory body, whose members inform the work of Diabetes UK.

Members

The CHP is made up of of a broad range of healthcare professionals. As well as primary and secondary care consultants, we are fortunate enough to benefit from the expertise of podiatrists, diabetes specialist nurses and dieticians, to name but a few.

Role

The Council provides us with feedback on whether we're meeting the needs of healthcare professionals and people with diabetes. It also provides support and advice on areas of specific interest to healthcare professionals.

The Council usually meets four times a year. However, individual members often liaise with staff between meetings to assist us on projects and other activities that would benefit from their specific input.
